Nation Radio Scotland expands its broadcast coverage area to include Edinburgh and east central Scotland from October 1st 2021.
Nation Radio Scotland, one of Scotland’s fastest-growing media companies, is doubling its broadcast coverage area via Scotland’s largest DAB digital radio platform.
The station will be available to over 3 million Scots via DAB or FM across central Scotland when it adds the key population centres of Edinburgh, Stirling, Falkirk, West Lothian, East Lothian, Midlothian and Fife to its existing broadcast area of Glasgow and the West from October 1st.
Nation Radio Scotland launched in October 2018 and broadcasts a variety of classic and contemporary hits from the greatest music artists of all time, presented by Scottish radio professionals based in Scotland and with regular Scottish news and information.
The station is already widely available across Scotland’s central belt on its powerful 96.3 FM transmitter based in Glasgow.
The move means a return to Edinburgh for Nation Radio Founder Jason Bryant who launched the original, pioneering Scottish regional service Scot FM from Leith 27 years ago. Bryant said; “As we celebrate the third anniversary of launching Nation Radio in Scotland, I’m delighted to extend our quality Scottish service to Edinburgh. Nation Radio Scotland will offer listeners in Edinburgh and east central Scotland a real choice for those who want locally produced Scottish output and more variety”.
Nation Radio Scotland’s Drivetime presenter Suzie McGuire said; “I am beyond excited that Nation Radio Scotland is expanding into our capital city! We are from Scotland FOR Scotland here at Nation Radio and I can’t wait to share our brilliant tunes, chat and competitions right across central Scotland!”
